How to make a baby sock corsage

I constantly get asked "How do you make a baby sock corsage, and why would I want one?"  Well although it may look difficult to make, it's really not that hard.  And, most expectant moms love to have a cute keepsake, a little reminder about the fun and excitement she had at her baby shower.  After all, flowers just wilt away but a baby sock corsage will last forever.  It's actually a little fun to make once you start putting one together.  Here is our version of our hand made baby sock corsage.  We've made many styles over the years but this one seems to be a favorite. Baby Shower Sock Corsage   You basically roll the socks of course, add a few artificial leaves, artificial flowers, pearl sprays or any other type of decorative spray and top it off with a ribbon.  Our ribbons are hand sewn, which include the larger color ribbon, a white smaller one topped with a little tiny bow.  The trick is knowing how to roll the socks.  You basically lay the sock down on the table, with the toe of the sock facing you.  Start at the toe and roll the sock toward the heal of the sock.  After you finish rolling the sock toward its heal take the cuff of the sock and fold it upward or over the rolled area.  You have to use green floral tape to wrap the socks up and together.  You can then decorate with with various flowers, pearls, baby trinkets or charms, tulle, ribbon and more.  The use of a glue gun may be useful to hold certain items in place too.  The baby sock corsage makes a nice keepsake gift for the mom to be.  When purchasing one or if you are making one yourself, be sure to have some available for the grandmothers or greatgrandmothers to wear too.
